The battle between HP and Lenovo is well known, and there are plenty of reasons why people prefer one brand over another. We’ve put together a list of pros and cons for each brand to help you decide whether you’d rather go for the HP or Lenovo brand.

HP vs Lenovo

Choosing the right brand of laptop can be difficult, especially if you want something cheap. We’ve rounded up some of the pros and cons to help you decide whether to go for HP or Lenovo.

The competition between HP and Lenovo is fierce, and there are plenty of reasons why you might want to pick one over the other. While HP is an American brand and one of the oldest companies in computing, Lenovo is a younger Chinese brand that has completely dominated the market in the last decade.

If you want the short answer both HP and Lenovo laptops are good options if you want a reliable computer. It all depends on what you need from your laptop. Each brand has various models with different features and specs, so comparing them isn’t easy but we’re going to try to cover it in this article.

Lenovo Laptops

The Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo has been around since 1984, making it one of the longest running companies in the world. Lenovo has always had a strong presence in China, where they make many of their products. However, they’ve recently expanded outside of China and into western markets.

In fact, Lenovo has become one of the biggest manufacturers of computers and laptops in the world. In 2018 alone, Lenovo shipped 200 million devices worldwide, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, smart watches, and even smart TVs.

This success has come about thanks to the high quality of their products and how affordable they are. Lenovo laptops are often very cheap, especially compared to those manufactured by Apple and Microsoft. This makes them a great option for students looking for a budget-friendly laptop, as well as professionals.

In recent years, Lenovo has been making some of the best laptops around. Their Thinkpads, IdeaPads and Yoga laptops are reliable and feature great specs.

The Lenovo ThinkPad is one of the best selling business laptops of all time. Today, you’ll find Lenovo laptops everywhere – from schools to offices to homes. This is largely down to their great range of models, affordability, and reliability.

HP Laptops

HP is a very well known computer manufacturer that produces a wide range of computers, ranging from budget laptops such as the Elitebook to high end laptops such as the Envy Spectre x360.

Their main focus is usually on producing reliable and durable laptops, although they have recently branched out into the gaming market, where they produce some excellent laptops aimed at the hardcore gamer. They’re one of only few big names that has made it into the gaming market, and their HP Omen line is known to be a good quality laptop for gamers.

There aren’t many cheap laptops found among HP product line. Most of their laptops are built using Nvidia Geforce GPUs and Intel Core Processors, which usually cost more than their lower end counterparts, so this could be part of the reason for their higher price tag.

Lenovo vs HP Laptops: Head to Head to Head Comparison

If you are looking for a brand that offers excellent customer service, you might want to consider buying one of Lenovo laptops. They offer great value for money, and their customer service is second to none. You can find many reviews online about how good their customer service is.

However, despite offering a lot of advantages, Lenovo does come with a few drawbacks. One drawback is that they do not include a lot of features in their laptops. Another downside is that they cannot compete with HP when it comes to design. But overall, Lenovo is still worth considering because it provides a lot of benefits.

But that being said there are definitely some advantages of HP over Lenovo such as the keyboard and trackpad. Lenovo is a great company, but they have been known to make mistakes in their products, which isn’t often seen by the longer-standing brand HP. Some argue this is due to the fact that HP is an American company with a longer history of making laptops.

Lenovo vs HP battle: Bottom Line

Both of these laptops are a good choice for the user, I would say the Lenovo are generally cheaper, more basic laptops and they have great customer support incase something goes wrong. HP you generally pay a bit of a premium but this could be due to the internal specs that they have, such as using NVIDIA graphic cards.
